The Situation: A leading Indian global technology business, working in IT services across 32 countries, required an expert interim HR manager to support its teams working on transformational outsourcing, IT solutions, remote infrastructure management, engineering, R&D services and business process outsourcing.
The Solution: With a significant workforce spread across 32 countries the client needed an interim HR manager with international experience and expert knowledge of local legislation in each jurisdiction, including special labour law issues. We placed a high performing HR manager whose background of facilitating change management and integration activities was ideally suited to the organisation at its current stage of development. This specialist interim management role involved providing dedicated HR consultancy on demand, specifically on HR issues concerning transformational in-sourcing.
The Outcome: Working closely with the client, our interim HR manager set in place procedures for recruitment, appraisal and personal development for staff in 32 different countries. Over the course of six months, high risk strategic roles were identified at each site and succession planning implemented. The flexibility of an interim consultant with change management experience allowed the client to manage a complex integration process without losing any key leaders.
